NSOBA 2026 Annual General Meeting Held Successfully.
The SACCO successfully held its 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28th March 2026 at Hotel Africana, bringing together members, the Board of Directors, management, and key stakeholders. The meeting provided an important platform to review the SACCO’s performance, reflect on achievements, and set strategic direction for the future.
The AGM was officially opened by the Chairperson with a call to order, followed by an opening prayer. Members were welcomed and the agenda was presented for approval, setting the tone for a structured and productive meeting.
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the review and approval of the previous AGM minutes, along with discussion of matters arising to ensure continuity and accountability in SACCO operations.
The Chairperson presented a comprehensive report covering the SACCO’s overall performance, key milestones achieved, challenges encountered, and progress made during the year. This was followed by the Treasurer’s report, which detailed the SACCO’s financial performance, including income, expenditure, and overall financial position.
The external auditors also presented their report, providing independent assurance on the accuracy and integrity of the SACCO’s financial statements. Members subsequently reviewed and approved the financial statements, including the income statement and balance sheet, as well as key resolutions such as dividend approval and the 2025 budget.
Further discussions included reports on internal controls, compliance, and operational oversight, ensuring transparency and adherence to SACCO policies. Members were also updated on strategic plans for the coming year, including proposed improvements to services and policy enhancements aimed at strengthening efficiency and member value.
The meeting also addressed governance matters, including the reconstitution of Board members and confirmation of external auditors, ensuring continued effective leadership and oversight.
Members actively participated in the session, raising questions and sharing feedback during the open forum. Their contributions reflected strong engagement and commitment to the growth and sustainability of the SACCO.
The AGM concluded with closing remarks from the Chairperson, who expressed appreciation to all members for their attendance, participation, and continued trust in the SACCO. A closing prayer marked the end of the successful meeting.
