ABOUT NSOBA SACCO
Earning the right
NSOBA SACCO is a multipurpose cooperative society established and owned by the old boys of Ntare School. The Sacco is situated in Kampala with a branch in Mbarara at Ntare School. The SACCO is registered under the Cooperative Societies Act. We officially registered with the Registrar of Co-operatives in the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Co-operatives (MTIC) on 7 march 2023 and received a permanent certificate on 19th December 2025. The SACCO derives its mandate from its By-Laws and the Cooperative Societies Act. The principal activity of the SACCO is to mobilize savings from members, lend to members and invest for members. Ntare School old boys pool resources through regular savings, purchase of Sacco shares and Investment Units. The society offers short, medium- and long-term loans to the members. In addition, the Executive Committee invests the share capital and the Investment Units in Smart High level Investment available options to maximise Return on Investments (RoI) for the members. The Sacco empowers Ntare School old boys Community to sustainably attain economic prosperity.

Our Objectives
- To promote thrift among members by affording them an opportunity for accumulating their savings and deposits and to create thereby a source of funds from which loans can be made to them exclusively for providence and productive purposes at fair and reasonable rates of interest.
- To provide an opportunity for each of its members to improve his respective economic and social status.
- Carry out investment activities, under the authority of General Meetings, which should: increase the volume of output of the society; improve and sustain a healthy liquidity position; increase the level of surplus to the society; and benefit members and their families.
- Offer members complementary savings and credit services and other financial products and services or withdrawable savings/deposits accounts as may be required by members from time to time.
- Ensure the safety and security of members' funds through risk management or any other appropriate insurance scheme.
- Ensure progress of its members by educating them on proper methods of credit administration.
- Perform all those functions and exercise those powers designated for savings and credit cooperative societies under the relevant law for benefit of members.
- Cooperate with other cooperatives and be affiliated to apex cooperative bodies like Uganda Cooperative Savings and Credit Union (UCSCU) and Association of Microfinance Institutions in Uganda (AMFIU).
